McAlester Public Schools is excited to announce the integration of our 3-Year-Old Program with our existing staff daycare! We believe the foundation of a lifelong love for learning starts here. Our program is specifically designed to encourage child development and growth through interactive, play-based activity centers.

Location and Hours of Operation

Our facility is located at Karla Brock Early Childhood Center, 301 East Van Buren Avenue. The Baby Buffs entrance is situated at the back of the academy on the west side of the building; please use the entrance located on North 3^rd Street. Our hours of operation are 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Our Philosophy: Learning Through Play

Every classroom will be thoughtfully arranged into a variety of centers that encourage exploration and hands-on discovery. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where your child will explore, discover, and learn through:

• Engaging the senses through touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste.

• Building brain power with manipulatives, cause-and-effect toys, stacking, nesting, shape sorting, blocks, and imaginative pretend play.

• Developing motor skills through movement—from grasping and visual tracking to running, racing, and active play.

• Cultivating communication through ongoing conversations, storytime, singing, nursery rhymes, and finger plays.

• Building first friendships through side-by-side play, peer observation, and supportive child-caregiver interactions.

Assistance & Billing

We strive to make our program accessible to all families:

• We proudly accept DHS and Choctaw Nation childcare assistance. If you are utilizing these services, please contact the office to coordinate your subsidy billing.

• Rates are based on the 2026-2027 MPS Instructional Calendar. To better support our families, no tuition is charged during full-week breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks).

Get Your Application:

• Download & Print: 3-Year-Old Program Application
• Pick Up in Person: Visit Central Office, 200 East Adams, to grab a physical copy.

Submit Your Application:

• Once completed, you can return your application in person to Baby Buffs Daycare or email it to the Director, Kelsey Kelly at kkelly@mpsbuffs.org.
