Adult Education and Literacy

Providing high quality opportunities for lifelong learning to adults in McAlester and the surrounding areas.

The MPS Adult Education and Literacy Office offers FREE classes for adults.  For your convenience, classes are offered mornings and afternoons in the McAlester. Evening classes are offered in Wiburton and morning classes are offered in Checotah. 

Adults that need to improve in reading, writing and/or math may enroll in these classes.  Class study can be used to help you get your High School Equivalency Certificate (HSE), help prepare you for college, or to get a job promotion.
